Stevens On Shaky Ground
Poor Rachel Stevens isn't having a very happy Christmas so far.
We hear the 27-year-old popstress was booed off stage at the Portsmouth University Crimbo ball after
lip-synching her way through a 30-minute.
Our sozzled student spy reveals: "We'd paid £27.50 each to get tickets, which is quite a lot when you're
a student.
"Rachel only mimed songs she's released as singles and then the rumour got out that she'd been paid
£6,000 for the evening - so no one was very happy with her".
Jazz Good Friends
Sexy singleton Rachel Stevens was smitten when she met jazz sensation Jamie Cullum - but the shy piano
player knocked her back.
Following a recent London gig our spies say the former S Club star only had eyes for the 26-year-old
musician at the private party afterwards.
"After the gig, Rachel and her mates were invited to a small exclusive bash. She leapt at the chance
to go along," our insider reveals.
"She went straight over to Jamie to tell him how much she loved the concert and his music. He was all
red and flustered by her attentions, mumbling and grinning at her like a schoolboy.
"And she wasn't just enthusiastic about his performance - she was being properly flirty with him,"
our mole continues.
"He was clearly very flattered but he looked like he wished he were somewhere else.
"Then she gave him her phone number saying it would be wicked to hang out some time. She's usually
the one getting all the attention from the men in the room - but that evening she only had eyes for Jamie."
Rachel, 27, has been single since her relationship with millionaire Gavin Dein ended in September.
Previously she was engaged to Holby City actor Jeremy Edwards. But Jamie has been together with his Brazilian lawyer girlfriend
Isabella Cannell for more than three years.
Shame, we think they'd make the perfect couple...
And while we imagine Rachel's been plagued with offers for dates - she insists it's not so simple.
"I wish I could say the phone hasn't stop ringing now that I'm single. But unfortunately that's not
the case," she sadly admitted recently. "I'm looking forward to when the right guy comes along.
"I've had a few offers, but it just doesn't work like that. People just don't phone me and ask me out
for a date." Why ever not...
Hannah Snowed Under
Former S Club singer Hannah Spearritt is out in the cold and jobless again after her latest musical
flopped. Luckless Hannah was starring in naff West End production Snow! The Musical.
It was a camp Christmas comedy based around festive songs including Last Christmas, I Wish It Could
Be Christmas Every Day and Fairytale of New York. The run had started and was due to end on January 7.
Yet despite reasonable reviews the audiences at the Sound Theatre in Soho had been dwindling away to
nothing. Earlier this week one embarrassing performance had just TWO people in the audience - so there were four members of
the cast for everyone in the "crowd". It was the final straw for the producer, who decided to pull the plug.
When I called the theatre yesterday to buy tickets I was told: "It's been cancelled. There are no more
shows."
A source added: "The cast were upset but not surprised when the producer told them it was over. No
one is saying it wasn't a good production or that the cast could have done better - it just didn't capture the public imagination.
They have cancelled all future performances because it was not viable to keep going."
The team involved in putting the show together thought they had a huge hit on their hands. The internet
homepage for the production boasted a quote from the British Theatre Guide. It said: "A real crowd-pleaser, one that should
work wonders for office parties thanks to a versatile line-up of talented performers."
Hannah had amazing success with band mates Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Tina Barrett,
Jo O'Meara and her boyfriend Paul Cattermole in S Club 7. They sold 14million albums, had their own TV series, a movie and
a host of hits including Don't Stop Moving and Reach.
But after the group split in May 2003 Hannah failed to live up to expectations. She claimed she was
destined for major Hollywood success. But her appearances in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London and Seed Of Chucky did
not exactly trouble the Oscars committee.
Hannah faces a miserable festive period moping around the home she shares in Brighton with Paul. But
at least she'll be off on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, er, New Year's Eve and maybe the whole of 2006.
Rachel in Line for Dr Who Role
Rachel Stevens is poised to land a starring role in racy Doctor Who TV spin-off Torchwood.
The singer has a final audition to win the part of Gwen opposite John Barrowman's Captain Jack in the
post-watershed sci-fi show.
Rachel, 27, hopes to follow in Billie Piper's footsteps by transforming from pop star to actress. She
was beaten to the part of the Doctor's sidekick Rose Tyler by Billie when the hit revival was cast.
The former S Club star said: "I've been called back for a meeting about a permanent role. I so hope
I get it as I'm sick of being attacked for my music."
Doctor Who executive producer Russell T Davies is creating the 13-part adult drama for BBC3. Barrowman,
38, will reprise his role as bisexual time traveller Capt Jack in Torchwood - an anagram of Doctor Who.
Rachel said of the Rose role: "Things happen for a reason. Billie is really great. If the right thing
came around, I'd love to do it."
Rachel Wants Will's Guidance
Rachel Stevens has asked Will Young for advice on how to launch an acting career.
"I've asked him for guidance now he's an established actor," the former S Club star told the Sunday
Mirror at the premiere of Will's movie debut, Mrs Henderson Presents.
The singer also insisted that she is enjoying being single and won't be looking for a new man any time
soon.
"To be honest, I love it," she revealed. "I get to watch whatever I like on TV."
Rachel Loves Being Papped
While most pop band stars who go it alone have nerves about braving the spotlight on their own, Rachel
Stevens claims she's loving the pressure. The girl reckons she even likes that bane of celebrity life - the paparazzi.
We were chatting to her in the flesh, but we didn't get to actually check her temperature, so we can
only presume she was feeling alright.
Although Rachel still bumps into old SClub bandmates Jo O'Meara and Jon Lee and has good memories of
being in what she calls the "modern day Monkeys", she's glad it's now all about her.
"Life is a lot more chilled than when I was in SClub," confesses Rachel. "I think it was because we
all had to go through hair and make-up and it was just such a palaver. I really am out there on my own, but all nerves are
good for me."
However, with a solo career comes an increased press interest in her personal life, but even that isn't
bothering the diddy diva. Talking of the snappers that are always on her tail she says: "They do follow you around but you
end up making friends with them.
"You see the same faces jumping out of the bushes."
What a refreshing angle. The singer also told us she would love a go at being the next Bond Girl -
move over Ms Jolie.
Rachel Sets Pulses Racing
Rachel Stevens and Nigel Harman are the celebrities most likely to send our pulse rates soaring, according
to a new poll.
The former S Club 7 star and Eastenders' heartthrob topped a survey by the British Heart Foundation
(BHF) to find the nation's sexiest stars.
In the women's category gorgeous Kelly Brook came second with 22 per cent, followed closely by film
beauty Keira Knightley (18 per cent) and Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones (15 per cent).
Meanwhile 27 per cent of women chose Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, who came second, and TV presenter
Dermot O'Leary came third with 18 per cent.
Rachel: My Bond Girl Bid
Sexy singer Rachel Stevens has revealed it would be a dream come true to be Daniel Craig's Bond girl.
Hot on the heels of the news that the blonde British actor will replace Pierce Brosnan as the next
superspy in Casino Royale, Rachel says she is a big fan of the classic films - and the hunky actor himself.
Rachel, who had just made her big screen debut in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo alongside Rob Schneider,
told The Sun: "I would love to be Daniel Craig's Bond girl.
"I'll think he'll be great in Casino Royale. It would be my dream job... totally fabulous and so glamorous.
I love getting glammed up!
"I'd love to move into acting a bit more and the Bond films are classics. Some of the most famous movies
around."
But Rachel has some top competition if she wants to achieve her dream - stunners Jessica Alba, Sienna
Miller and Kelly Brook have already been linked with the role.
Filming on Casino Royale, which will also star John Cleese and Judy Dench, is due to begin in January
2006, with plans to hit cinemas towards the end of the year.
S Club Jo Hailed as Carpenter
Lost songs written for tragic Karen Carpenter are to be recorded at last...by former S Club singer
Jo O'Meara.
Pop veteran Richard Carpenter, Karen's brother and partner in The Carpenters, has asked Jo to sing
songs he wrote for his sister which were never recorded because of her death from anorexia in 1983 aged 32.
Last night Jo, 26, from Essex - who sang lead on many of S Club's hits - confirmed: "Richard has said
that vocally I am the closest to Karen he has heard since her death. He has asked me to record some of the songs he had written
for her. Karen has always been my all-time favourite singer."
Jo is expected to fly to America to record the tracks with Richard, 55, early next year.
The Carpenters were one of the biggest-selling acts of all time, selling more than 150 million copies
of Seventies hits like Yesterday Once More and Top Of The World.
Official Rachel Stevens
Site has had a Makeover
With her brilliant new album nearly here, it's only right that the most glamorous lady in pop should
get a sparkly new website too.
www.rachelstevensofficial.com has had a complete makeover and is packed full of extra goodies, including a brilliant VIP section, fab
photos and a messageboard - head over there right now to chat about the new look site, new single, or whatever you like!
I'm back, says S Club star - but please don't mention my back!
It's been two years since Jo O'Meara last experienced the whirlwind of publicity and promo, and she's
not too happy about the subject of choice - her back.
All anyone wants to ask her about are the back problems that beset her last months as a member of S
Club.
A month before S Club split in May 2003, Jo, 26, was diagnosed with a degenerative back condition.
The worst-case scenario given to her was that she would need surgery and to use a wheelchair. Thankfully, she didn't.
Although Jo was always the one most likely to have a crack at a solo career after S Club - her soaring
vocals were always considered the best in the band - it seemed her back problem might have put a stop to her career.
"No, not at all," she says. "People just made too much of it. My back needed time to heal and rest,
that's all. I always knew that I was going to come back as a solo artist. It's fine now. No problems at all."
Which means that Jo can now concentrate on what matters most to her - her music.
Following on from her debut single What Hurts The Most, is her album Relentless. It's full of what
Jo describes as 'adult pop' and is a bit of a mixed bag of genres.
The whole project has been about doing what Jo wants to do. Her time in S Club was so regimented that
the singer is revelling in her new-found freedom.
"I want to be in control of what I'm doing 100% now," she says. "I'm so lucky that I've found a good
team that acknowledge that. With things like the photographs they always say, 'What do you think of them?' I'd never have
been asked that in S Club."
Schneider Tips Stevens
for Acting Greatness
Rob Schneider thinks he's discovered Britain's next great acting talent in pop star Rachel Stevens
- and he's tipping her to be the next Tom Cruise.
Schneider was impressed with Stevens' acting when she appeared alongside him in Deuce Bigalow: European
Gigolo, and he has urged her to hang up her microphone and learn to act properly.
He says, "Rachel could do it. But she needs to want to do it and put herself out there. As soon as
you do that, things will happen, but it's tough to, make the transition. She's a big star in Britain but it's tough being
accepted as an actress.
"It's like Tom Cruise who wasn't the best actor when he started out, but after a while he started to
learn his craft."
Rachel in First Film Premiere
She has already conquered the pop charts as well as the hearts of legions of male fans. But this week
Rachel Stevens took her first steps towards Hollywood stardom when she walked down the red carpet at the premiere of her new
film.
Stevens who has had enjoyed a successful solo music career since her band, S Club, split, was at the
West End bash to promote her tinsel town debut in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo.
The movie, which is a follow up to 2001's Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, is set in Amsterdam and sees
Stevens take a small yet decidedly challenging role.
She was enthusiastic about the film, describing the film's star, Rob Schneider as "really funny" but
confessed that the part, which included being covered in mud, was far from glamorous.
She said: "They just slapped on this paste that was like powder and water. It wasn't real mud. But
real mud is really good for you so maybe they should have put that on. I had this stuff on all day. It was horrible when it
went on and when it dried it was rock hard. Then I had a wig on and they put this stuff in my teeth. It was certainly an experience."
She was also forced to stand partially submerged in one of the city's famous canals.
She said: "All the water was tested and I wasn't standing on the bottom. I was on a box and it was
safe. I also had a wet suit and wellington boots on. But the water was freezing. It wasn't a fun thing to do but it goes down
in the book of experiences."
Apology from Dick & Dom
Rachel Stevens may have upset TV bosses at top kids' TV show Dick & Dom by refusing to get gunged
- because it would ruin her hair.
But Dick and Dom themselves have decided that they might have been a tad cruel, and sent her flowers
and an offer to appear on the show later in the year to kiss and make up.
Rachel's response? Well, she's not bothered so far, the boys said.
Dale Date for Rachel
She's newly-single but Rachel Stevens has already arranged a date - with Lottery host Dale Winton.
The pair swapped numbers at last week's GQ Awards, after Dale heard that Rach was on the lookout for
a gay best friend.
Says an insider: "They've already arranged to go to Rachel's gig at the GAY club together. It could
be the start of a beautiful friendship."
S Club Jo Food Hell
Former S Club 7 beauty Jo O'Meara has told how she piled on the pounds comfort-eating when she got
depressed about performing with skinny bandmates.
The star, 26, got so down over her "S Chub" nickname she made it worse scoffing burgers, take-aways,
chocs and crisps.
Jo revealed: "I felt self-conscious next to Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett and Hannah Spearritt.
"Then I got depressed about getting fat, so I'd eat more."
But after shedding over a stone the star is looking forward to her first solo album next month.
Rachel on Movie Role
Pop babe Rachel Stevens has been talking about her appearance in the latest Rob Schneider film Deuce
Bigelow: European Gigolo.
The former S Club star plays Louisa in the comedy and said filming was great fun.
"I spent two days in Amsterdam. It wasn't the most glamorous experience but it was really good fun.
"I got to know Rob Schneider who plays the lead in the film and we had really good fun."
Rachel's new single I Said Never Again is out on October 3.

Seeth-vens
Pop star Rachel Stevens stormed off Dick and Dom In Da Bungalow after the kids TV hosts mocked her
for being a bad sport.
The former S Club 7 singer had refused to be covered in chocolate.
She then threw a wobbly after hearing the duo joking about her. A BBC insider said: "Off camera she
complained about getting mucky.
The climax is a game called Creamy Muck Muck.
"When she said she didn't want to do it Dick and Dom dressed a man up as a woman instead. She stormed
out."
Rachel Removes Scene
We were supposed to find out all about the real Rachel Stevens in a TV special next month but it has
now been revealed that Rach has removed a scene in which she's seen crying after a phone call.
A source said: "She won't reveal why or who was on the phone, just that she wanted it taken out."
Rachel Gets Ready
to Release New Single
Rachel Stevens gets ready to release her forthcoming single, 'I Said Never Again'.
Rachel Stevens is guaranteed to bring a knowing smile to girls everywhere with the release of her electric
new single, 'I Said Never Again', released on October 3rd through Polydor/19 Entertainment. 'I Said Never Again' is the third
single to be taken from Rachel's forthcoming album 'Come And Get It' released on October 10th.
Produced by award winning duo Jewels and Stone 'I Said Never Again' is a sex-with-your-ex anthem whose
pummelling glam beats conjure an image of Suzi Quatro duetting with Adam & The Ants. The video, directed by Trudy Bellinger
(Natalie Imbruglia), is set in a women's prison after Rachel is wrongly accused of a crime. The video combines attitude, high
energy dance routines, fun and female feistiness with the glamour of pop that is synonymous with Rachel.
'I Said Never Again' also features as the lead track to the end credits of 'Deuce Bigalow: European
Gigolo', the sequel to the hit movie 'Deuce Bigalow' starring Rob Schneider and Eddie Griffin. In cinemas from September 30th,
Rachel appears in the film with a small cameo role as 'Dirty Girl'.
Over the past year Rachel has really gained confidence as a solo artist, with 5 Top 10 hits under her
belt, recently crowned as Glamour Magazines 'Women Of The Year', a performance at the Olympic bid celebrations in Trafalgar
Square and the first female ever to front the Everyman Cancer Trust campaign resulting in the most successful viral campaign
to date. Reflecting her growing confidence Rachel for the first time invites fans to experience the journey as a solo artist
in an access all areas documentary. 'Rachel Stevens: My World' will be shown on Channel 4 on October 9th and takes you behind
the scenes during the promotional build up to the release of her second solo album and gives you a rare insight into the very
core of pop star life.
Rachel says; 'This tracks a lot of fun - it really makes you want to get up and let your hair down
and one I'm sure people will relate to! I'm really excited about the release of my album - there are a lot of good songs on
it that I'm proud of. The support I've received since going solo has been fantastic and it's encouraged me to try new things.'
'I Said Never Again' will be released through Polydor/19 Entertainment on October 3rd. Her second album,
'Come And Get It', will be released on October 10th.

Five bridesmaids and a bride. Former Miss Great Yarmouth Mercury and Miss East Anglia,
Tanya Spearritt, surrounded by her bridesmaids - including film star sister Hannah Spearritt - after her wedding in Rome.
Bridesmaids get into
the Spearritt of Wedding
Former top model Tanya Spearritt and sister of singer/actress Hannah- was married In Rome. And the
wedding photographs will be appearing in a leading international fashion magazine later this year.
Sixty- five guests attended the wedding at the San Giovanni Florentine Church .The guests had travelled
from the UK, Australia, Malaysia, and South Africa.
Tanya, 31, the eldest daughter of Michael and Jenny Spearritt of Gorleston, told the mercury: "We chose
Rome as we wanted something special for close family and friends and we had a brilliant time."
Tanya, a former Miss Great Yarmouth Mercury and Miss East Anglia, was married to Grant Clarkin (company
director) of London. Given away by her father Tanya wore a full length ivory dress with fitted corset by designer Sassi Holford,
and shoes made by friend Jimmy Choo. Her Bouquet was of white calla lilies and green calla lilies with purple tint.
Tanya's younger sister Hannah - member of pop band sensation S Club 7 for 4 years until the group split
in 2003 - was chief bridesmaid. She wore a mint coloured A-line dress.
The other bridesmaids were Victoria Gibb of Great Yarmouth, Sarah Grice and Sarah Jayne Roberts, both
of Gorleston, and Noor Adilah from Malaysia. They wore mint coloured full length evening gowns.
The couple, who live in London, spent their honeymoon in India and Bali.
One member of the family who was unable to attend the Italian ceremony due to ill health was Tanya's
grandmother from Gorleston. Tanya said- We know our little nanny would have been there if she could but she was in our hearts
and we were all thinking of her.
The wedding photographs will be featured in Cosmopolitan Bride magazines Dec/Jan issue on sale November
1st.
Mad Manson Snubs Rachel
We won't be holding our breath for a Rachel Stevens and Marilyn Manson duet on Reach For The Stars
quite yet. Just days ago, the former S Club singer was snapped writhing provocatively in a raunchy burlesque outfit and proclaiming
that she wanted to collaborate with the self-styled "god of f***".
But shock rocker Marilyn has cruelly dashed Rachel's hopes by saying he doesn't even know who she is.
The American spoke to 3am after picking up an Icon Award at Thursday's Kerrang! bash, held at the Brewery in East London.
Told about Rachel's dream, Marilyn, 36, asked Jessica: "Who the f**k is she? Doesn't she look like a cheap whore."
Earlier this week, Rachel, 27, could barely contain her excitement at the thought of teaming up with
the wild rocker. "I'd love to work with him," she gushed. "His videos are amazing. I still want to keep my young fans but
I'd be up for a bit of Marilyn. There's nothing like a bit of swearing now and again."
Slam A 'Matronic
Well someone strap some boxing gloves on Rachel Stevens, we believe she's about to go all feisty.
In an interview with Attitude magazine, Rach answered comments made by Scissor Sister Ana Matronic,
who said that she'd rather dine with a terrorist than spend any time with Rachel.
Rach says: "The whole thing was weird because she did have dinner with me at the Capital awards and
said nothing at all."
"I think she's funny and really charismatic but I remember thinking when I read that quote how strange
it was that somebody so open didn't say it to my face. I'd have probably told her to get lost and sit somewhere else if she
wasn't happy but she didn't say anything."
Well... doesn't really go with "Could you pass the salt," does it, Rach?
Vote for Rachel!
Make sure you show your support for the lovely Ms Stevens by voting for her in the Smash Hits Poll
Winners Party.

Come And Get It
Nearly two years after the release of her debut solo album, Rachel Stevens returns with a collection
of songs so strong and inventive they are simply impossible to ignore. Bursting with an electric mix of contemporary pop anthems,
her sensational second album 'Come And Get It' will be released through Polydor/19 Entertainment on October 10th.
The style and swagger of Rachel's new material oozes maturity and confidence. A rich mix of stylish,
decadent and sophisticated sounds, 'Come And Get It' is pure pop gold. Already featuring a collection of Top 10 hits including
'Negotiate With Love', the defiant, breezily self-confident 'So Good' and smash hit 'Some Girls', 'Come And Get It' is brimming
with an exciting and eclectic selection of songs.
Working closely with a few of the UK's hottest talents including Richard X, Rob Davis, former S Club
collaborators Jewels & Stone, and, in something of an Alisha's Attic reunion, both Karen and Shelley Poole, Rachel has
made an album she's really proud of. From the frenetic 'Crazy Boys' to the melodic tour de force of 'Nothing Good About This
Goodbye'; from the electro laced ballad 'I'll Be There' to the sultry, dirty bassline of 'Je M'Appelle' and her forthcoming
single, 'I Said Never Again', a sex-with-your-ex anthem whose pummelling glam beats conjure an image of Suzi Quatro duetting
with Adam & The Ants, 'Come And Get It' is an album for anyone who appreciates pop music at its best.
Rachel says; "I'm really proud of this album, ever since I started working in music it's been about
releasing great pop tracks that everyone can dance and have fun to but this time I also wanted to express more of myself and
give people a few surprises along the way. Although I've matured I still want to keep pop fun but a little naughtier!"
Jo: 'I took a year off to have a normal life'
Now S Club 7 are no more, Jo O'Meara can look back on the "crazy five years" and laugh. After a year
off to chill out, Jo is currently gearing up to release her debut album, Relentless, in the next couple of months.
Looking back on the S Club years she says: "Now I really appreciate what I've done but it was like
living 20 years in five. When it ended I didn't do a lot of anything, it was great to just go round to my mum's and have Sunday
dinner. We are all still friends – I was out with Bradley and Tina the other night and I saw Hannah and Paul not long
ago," she says.
Jo has just finished a tour to promote her first solo single What Hurts The Most (released in September). When I caught up with her she was deep in discussions about her new video, which
she is shooting today.
"I don't really want to give anything away but it's a boy girl thing, and I get quite moody in it,"
she laughs.
She describes her new music as "mature, guitar-based, relaxed" and enjoys being in the studio, but
it's live events such as pop2thepark that she loves. She will be playing her new material, as well as a few S Club hits.
"It's what it's all about," she says. "I'm really looking forward to playing there, it's a thank you."
Popsters Plan Reunion
Teen pop band S Club 7 is planning a reunion for a one-off concert - in 10 years' time.
Pint-sized performer Bradley McIntosh told The Daily Mirror: "We had a great time with S Club 7.
"We are all doing our own thing at the moment but we'd definitely do a reunion in 10 years time."
He made the revelation as he partied alongside former bandmates Jo O'Meara and David Schwimmer's ex
Tina Barrett at London's Attica Club.
Rage-el Stevens
Such is Rachel Stevens' niceability that you'd have to sprinkle her lippy with chilis, or mention Jezza
Edwards in order to get a bad word out of her. Until today that is...
She's been ranting to the Daily Star about how much she dislikes those folks who get with the famous
types and then sell the info to the tabloids in the form of 'stories'.
According to the Star, Rach said: "It's annoying when people find fame just because they've got with
someone's other half..."
"It angers me."
Whoa! And take it from us, folks, there's a good reason why you don't ever see Rach angry. Got that,
celeb-slobberers?
Jo and Ben's Lark in the Park
How's this for an unlikely couple - ex-S Club Jo O'Meara with singing star Ben Adams, ex of A1.
The pair stunned onlookers at the O2 Party In The Park in Brighton yesterday with their lovey-dovey
antics.
"They were smooching away backstage and couldn't stay away from each other," says our spy.
"They even shared a cigarette at one point. Then Jo said: 'I really want it. You don't know how much
I want it.'
"No one's sure whether she was talking about the ciggie or Ben."
Rachel at this year's
Northampton Balloon Festival
The 27-year-old will appear alongside Fame Academy star and headliner Lemar during the annual festival
at Northampton's Racecourse on Friday August 19.
The former S Club singer will perform a number of songs including her hits Sweet Dreams My LA Ex and
Some Girls. Event organiser Matt Parsons said her appearance along with Lemar and Celebrity Love Island star Fran Cosgrove
should guarantee this year's festival equals the success of the 2004 event which saw Ronan Keating pull in the crowds.
He said: "We've been working hard to bring quality performers to the festival and we've got two top
10 artists plus one of the hottest celebrities of the moment performing on one night in Northampton, which is great news for
the town."
Fran Cosgrove will start off the Friday night show with a DJ set. He will be followed by Rachel Stevens
before Lemar takes to the stage to finish off the show.
Tickets for the Friday night show, which cost £10, are available by calling See Tickets on 0870 8400400
or by visiting www.seetickets.com.

Rachel Drives Men Plum Crazy
The site, rachelgetsfruity.com has had an incredible 500,000 hits in its first 14 days since launch.
The level of visitor numbers of up to 72,000 downloads an hour may just have something to do with the
fact that it features the luscious pop star Rachel Stevens.
In it, she encourages men to put their hands down their trousers and shows what to do then by rolling
plums provocatively between her fingers.
The download is a cheeky advert by the Everyman Male Cancer campaign, which encourages men to check
themselves for testicular cancer.
To date there have been over 700,000 hits and unique visitors are still on the increase. Really, the
site's a plum.
Rachel is Woman of the Year
Rachel Stevens won the Amor Amor Woman Of The Year at the Glamour magazine awards. This is a great
achievement for Rachel, especially as this award is voted for by their readers.
Jo Signs Song Writing Deal
Former S Club front woman Jo O'Meara has signed a staggering £500,000 song writing deal with record
label giant Universal.
The blonde songbird feared her severe back problems, which she has been suffering from since the band's
split in 2003, would jeopardise her future pop career.
However, the new contract has provided O'Meara with a new lease of life, and is hoped to lead to a
solo recording deal for the star.
Rachel Stevens 'Gets Fruity'
Rachel follows Robbie Williams' 1999 debut to launch Everyman's Male Cancer Awareness advertisement.
Rachel Stevens is following in the footsteps of Robbie Williams by taking men's health into her hands
with a cheeky new Everyman advertisement aimed at making men sit-up and take notice of the warning signs of testicular cancer.
The pro-bono ad, created by Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners is being released to mark Everyman Male Cancer Awareness
Month which runs throughout June.
In 1999, as the first ever face of Everyman, Robbie's performance created a huge impact when he sported
a pair of false breasts and asked men to spend as much time concentrating on their health as they did looking at women. In
2005, Rachel's alluring invitation asks men to put their hands down their trousers as she explains exactly what they should
be looking for and the best way to check themselves.
The tongue-in-cheek humour is combined with a serious health message about testicular cancer which
is the most common cancer to affect men aged 15 to 45 years old.
Rachel says: 'Sometimes men need a little encouragement to think about their health. The Everyman ad
is a fun way of raising awareness of a serious subject and will hopefully help to get the message across to men about testicular
cancer and give them something to think about. I'm delighted to be able to help.'
Philip Black from Everyman said: 'Rachel is consistently voted as every man's dream girl so she is
perfect for the Everyman advert and the audience of young men aged 15-45 that we want to reach. We're sure with her fun and
sexy style that Rachel will get men to listen and learn. Everyone who has worked on this ad has given their time completely
free to help Everyman, a commitment which we appreciate enormously. Thanks to them, we hope many more young men will spot
the signs of testicular cancer early and get successful treatment.'
The advertisement which runs with a teaser print ad will be promoted through a viral email marketing
campaign linking to the website - www.rachelgetsfruity.com.
I am giving full credit to Viva S Club for these news. I thought I put up the 2005 news since for 1 year & a half I didn't update the news section.
