When TV and music superstars S Club 7 (Saturday, MuchMusic) stopped in Toronto recently as part of their whirlwind North American tour, we gave nine-year-old super-fan Courtney a chance to ask Rachel, Jo, John, Paul, Tina, Bradley and Hannah, a few questions every preteen is dying to know...

S Club 7 Courtney: What did you guys do before you were "S Club 7"?

Tina: We were all performers before the band and the show came to be. I started as a dancer and was in a band for two years and then I did music videos and some theatre work.
Bradley: I did a bunch of odd jobs one of which was fashion ads for Tonse Ton (a British apparel co.), I worked at a radio station and did background vocals for my dad who is a music producer.
Rachel: I did a lot of different things. I was in film production at one point and I actually was working in the fashion industry before "S Club" started.
Jo: I was in a band before called "2 4 Family" and we had a top-40 hit in Germany.
Jon: I was performing in musical theatre and did some television work.
Hannah: I was working in a little in TV and I attended college.
Paul: I was also in musical theatre and played in a couple of bands.

Courtney: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Tina: I try to catch up on things or go out with my friends. I beleive it's just as important to have fun as it is to work hard.
Rachel: I also like to catch up with my friends and go out and socialize.

Courtney: How long does it take to make a series?

Hannah: It takes us around three months per series, or a few weeks per episode
Bradley: We also do one-hour specials and they normally take a couple of weeks.

Courtney: Do any of you have girlfriends or boyfriends?

Tina: Yes.
Rachel: No, not right now.
Bradley: No, me neither.
Jo: Yes.

Courtney: What are your favourite foods?

Tina: I love my mom's sunday roast dinner.
Bradley: My nan's [Grandmother] Jamaican chicken rice peas are the best.
Rachel: My favourite is Indian food, then Chinese, then Italian.
Jo: I also love a good Sunday roast.
Paul: I love all sorts of food. But I have to say spaghetti Bolognese is my favourite; then again I really love Thai food too.
Hannah: Fish and Chips; but with British chips that are cut up the side and very thick.
Jon: My favourite used to be Chinese food, but then I spent a week in China [on behalf of the World Wildlife Fund, for whom he supports the Panda Bear] and ate too much of it. But nothing can really beat mom's cooking.

Courtney: Do you get to see your family a lot?

Hannah: Not as much as we'd like to. But we are based out of London [England] so we all live in and around our loved ones.

Courtney: How old are you?

Tina: 24.
Bradley: 19.
Rachel: 22.
Jo: 21.
Paul: 23.
Hannah: 19.
Jon: 18.

Courtney: Have you guys ever drunk alcohol?

All: Yes [laughing]; but usually on special occasions like Christmas or birthdays.

Courtney: How do your old friends react to you spending so much time at work on the "S Club"?

Tina: [On behalf of everyone] I know my original friends understand what the job entails, so they're really supportive. They've never criticized us or said we're no longer their friends anymore as most of them are over the moon about our success.
