Those awful paparazzi shots of celebs dressed in preposterous clothes. But it's not a fate that should worry S Club 7's Rachel. You could say she's one of those "throw something on and look like a
million dollars" kind of people. Then again,
that should come as no surprise, considering her background in fashion and modeling.
At 15, she was plucked from
over 5000 hopefuls to win a modelling competition. "That led to some modelling work," explains the softly spoken Rachel, "and then I went to the London School of Fashion to study the fashion business.
After getting my diploma, I moved into
fashion PR." It may be an unconventional path into music and TV, but Rachel also loved singing, dancing and acting from the age of five. The modelling just came along first.
Unsurprisingly, the subject
of shopping is a favourite of Rachel's. "I love going shopping. Shopping for clothes, shopping for make-up. I could shop all the time." But although she
may be feminine, don't overlook Rachel's steely side. "I'm strong-minded. I know what I want," she smiles sweetly. She admits to being a fiery person
